Truck Encyclopedia (2): What does the code on the glass represent?
Next door, Lao Wang just picked up a new car, and after driving home, friends and relatives came to watch the new car, but Lao Wang's friend Lao Li frowned when he saw the car, what is going on?
It turned out that Lao Li was doing PDI work for new cars in the 4S store (Pre Delivery Inspection vehicle pre-sales inspection records), and he was very clear about all aspects of the delivery of new cars.
Truck Encyclopedia:
All new vehicles are tested for PDI before they are delivered to customers. Because the new car goes through multiple links such as transportation and parking from production to dealership, in order to ensure the safety and original performance of the new car to customers, PDI inspection is essential.
But how can you tell that the car is an "accident car"? It turned out to be a piece of glass on the car that gave the accident car a shape. However, what can glass see, isn't glass good?
Yes, the glass is good, but the car production is that the parts are assembled, and the factory date will be marked when it leaves the factory, while the glass production date of Lao Wang's new car is after the factory date of the vehicle, of course, it will be exposed.
However, how do you look at the production date of glass? Today, we're going to introduce what the mysterious code in the corner of the glass means.
In this article, the front windshield of Sinotruk HOWO T7 heavy-duty truck is introduced as an example.
1. 3C certification
CCC is the English abbreviation of "China compulsory certification".
2. Glass manufacturer code
The vast majority of glass manufacturer codes start with E, and the E000010 here indicates that its manufacturer is Jiangsu Iron Anchor Glass Co., Ltd.
3. Self-coding by the manufacturer
The manufacturer's self-code identified in the figure is not a general code for glass, here represents the manufacturer's parts number, and the WG1664710001/1 here represents this glass for the Sinotruk T7 front windshield assembly, and the model is WG1664710001/1.
RC710001 ID: 00112 is also self-encoded for the manufacturer.
4. Economic Commission for Europe regulations
The regulations issued on behalf of the Economic Commission of Europe (ECE) can be simply understood as the certification of EU member states. E11 indicates that the product is issued by the United Kingdom.
5. Manufacturer LOGO
The logo of China National Heavy Duty Truck.
6. Double-layer laminated glass
LAMINATED, literally translated into English as laminated glass, means that this piece of glass is double-laminated glass.
7. ECE Regulatory Provisions
43R-005295, which indicates compliance with ECE Title 43 regulations, and the certification code is 005295.
8. The date of production of the glass
4·· This is the production date code of the glass, which indicates that the glass was produced in November 2014.
So how do we identify the production date? Generally, the production date of glass is 10 years and 1 cycle, and the labeling method of each manufacturer is different, and 14 or 4 is printed on the glass, which means that the glass was produced in 2014.
The small dot is printed before the number, which means that the glass is produced in the first half of the year, and if it is printed after the number, it means that the glass production month is the second half of the year.
If it is produced in the first half of the year, then you can subtract the decimal point = the month of production from 7.
If it is produced in the second half of the year, then you can subtract the decimal number of points = the month of production from 13.
When buying a car, especially when buying a second-hand car, you can judge whether the vehicle is an accident car by checking the production time of the glass compared with the factory time of the vehicle.
