Although the drying tank is not expensive, many cardholders can still save it, and it doesn't matter about the quality of the drying tank, as long as one can be used, and some don't even change it once in a few years. The operation of replacing the drying tank is not cumbersome, but here I also want to remind the cardholders, because the drying tank is connected to the gas path, there is a certain pressure difference between the inside and outside of the tank, and the compressed air is disassembled when it is not emptied, and the compressed air is released instantly, which is easy to cause injury to the disassembly personnel. Therefore, it is necessary to drain the air in the air reservoir (repeatedly apply the brakes until the barometer reading reaches zero) before disassembling the drying tank.
After disassembling the drying tank with the help of a special wrench, you can see dots of water on the base, which shows that the humidity of the compressed air is still very high. If the dryer is poorly filtered, the liquid water will enter the individual pump valves that pass from the air path to the brakes.
Before installing a new drying tank, the top of the base should be cleaned first to prevent oil from entering the inside of the new tank and affecting the dehumidification performance. Then apply a layer of oil to the rubber gasket under the new drying tank to lubricate and prevent damage to the rubber gasket during installation.
Because the drying tank is simple to replace, so many cardholders are replacing it by themselves, and Master Chen is no exception, but when installing, he said that he must pay attention to the wrench as close to the base as possible.
We have done a survey on drying cans before, and many cardholders said that they don't know when to change them, and many people may not change them once in a few years as long as there is no problem. And the service life of different brands of drying tanks is different, and the climate and environment of the vehicle are also different, so it is difficult to unify the replacement cycle. If you really don't know when to replace it, you can judge it by checking whether there is water in the gas tank.
Use the vent valve at the bottom of the tank to see if the bottom of the tank is wet or watery. If the drying tank fails, water will flow out after opening the valve, and the drying tank should be replaced with a new one immediately.
