What is the use of an air circuit spiral tube?
The engine's air compressor is responsible for the normal operation of all pneumatic equipment in the vehicle. Brakes, clutch, airbag seats, and various precise pneumatic control valves all require dry and clean compressed air. The air dryers installed in the vehicle have already filtered impurities and moisture, but that is far from enough. Many vehicles still experience frozen or damaged pipelines and check valves due to water in the air system. So why does water still appear?
Air contains moisture, and when the volume of air is compressed, heat is generated. At high temperatures, the condensation rate of water vapor decreases. This compressed air medium, containing both moisture and heat, is transmitted through the pipeline to the air line dryer, causing the temperature in the entire pipeline to rise sharply. The high-temperature gas enters the entire air line system without receiving the necessary cooling.
The components of the dryer assembly are severely damaged, and the pipeline test temperature is so high that it cannot be touched by hand. The dryer's own filtration effect is greatly weakened. As air undergoes alternating extreme heat and extreme cold, the moisture in the air will condense back into water vapor when entering the air tank, accumulating throughout the entire air circuit.
The spiral air pipe is installed between the air compressor and the air dryer. The compressed air first passes through the spiral pipe, which significantly lowers its temperature. The temperature of the compressed air entering the dryer is close to the ambient temperature, and the occurrence of moisture is also reduced, allowing the dryer to function properly and effectively. Currently, truck manufacturers equip vehicles with spiral air pipes as standard. Vehicles without a spiral pipe can also try this method and install a nice spiral pipe.
