Currently, most trucks still use drum brakes. With the wear caused by braking, the braking gap between the drum brake and the brake shoes gradually increases, which requires adjusting the brake gap with the brake adjuster arm to ensure effective and reliable braking.
If the brake clearance is not adjusted in time or the adjustment is not standardized, the brake clearance of each wheel cannot be kept consistent, which will affect the braking performance of the truck and, in severe cases, may even lead to safety accidents. Most drivers often adjust the adjusting arm to ensure that the braking system functions properly, but few drivers clean the adjusting arm.
Truck drivers who drive long distances all know that the underside of the truck is the dirtiest part of the vehicle, especially the control arms, which are a real trouble spot. Generally speaking, the control arms require a large amount of grease for lubrication.
