Driver-friendly and effortless: Explanation of automatic boom installation

● Precautions for Installing an Auto-Adjusting Arm
Replacing the manual adjustment arm with an automatic adjustment arm is not complicated, but compared with the manual adjustment arm, the automatic adjustment arm requires the installation of an additional bracket. During installation, there are two models of the bracket corresponding to different mounting positions on the left and right sides of the adjustment arm. Therefore, attention should be paid to distinguishing them during installation.
During the installation process, pay attention to the cover of the automatic adjustment arm and the scale lines on the adjustment lever, making sure that the two scale lines are aligned.
After the automatic adjusting arm is installed, the worm gear should be tightened clockwise with a wrench. After tightening, turn it back 270 degrees. With sufficient air in the vehicle's storage tank, repeatedly press the brake pedal about 20 times in place to complete the adjustment of the automatic adjusting arm's brake clearance.
It can be seen that after the automatic slack adjuster on the trailer was installed, long brake skid marks were left on the road during testing. This also proves that trailers fitted with the replaced automatic slack adjuster have good braking performance.
