Generally, the quick coupling that comes with the original tractor is a handshake-type coupling, which we usually call a handshake valve. There is also a plug-in type coupling, which many people simply call a quick coupling. Many of our users, after purchasing a new vehicle, will replace the original handshake valve on the tractor with a plug-in type coupling. Some trailers even come equipped with a plug-in type coupling right from the factory to reduce the hassle of modifications later on. It should be noted that common quick connectors are usually divided into male and female types, including plug-in connectors, seven-pin power connectors, ABS connectors, etc.When connecting, male and female connectors are easier to identify to see if they are properly installed, whereas handshake joints require careful alignment during installation; otherwise, the connection may not be secure and could even damage the rubber gasket.● Inconsistent production specifications lead to loose connections

Due to this special design, it also requires relatively high production standards. Currently, the handshake couplings produced by different manufacturers use different molds, and the tolerance dimensions vary. Often, the tractor and trailer may use handshake couplings from different manufacturers, and differences can be noticed during connection.If the handshake coupling connection is found to be inconvenient, it is recommended to replace the paired couplings with high-quality products from the same brand.
